We provide high quality, locally produced organic and free range meat from our base in Bournville, South Birmingham. Rossiters have been serving the community of Bournville and the surrounding areas for over 25 years, but there has been a butchery business in the premises since at least the 1920s.
The first Smith we know about as a butcher was John Smith, who started a meat business in his home village of Manea, Cambridgeshire around 1850. The village was the centre of a small farming community. His son George Arthur (known as G A) Smith, born 18th July 1862 would have worked with his father and learned his trade as a traditional butcher.
Nigel and myself Paul McEvoy have worked in Harborne for the past twenty years and have created an enjoyable working relationship over the last 13 years together and have sustained a high level of butchery and customer relations with many of the residents of Harborne and neighbouring areas.
